COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Conservation District was recently awarded a grant of $22,100 from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
58th District State Representative Eric Leutheuser’s office says the Branch County Conservation District was among 11 grant recipients across the state receiving a Wildlife Habitat Grant.
The grant program started in 2013 and was designed to enhance and improve game species habitats.
About $1 million in grants was being offered by the Michigan DNR under the program this year. Each grant is worth at least $15,000. Recipients must match ten percent of the state funding.
