STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association Girls Volleyball State Tournament gets underway Monday night.
Coldwater (20-17-6) will face Battle Creek Lakeview (35-19-1) in the first game of the Division One District Tournament at Sturgis. The match starts at 6:00 p.m.. Coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB starts at 5:45 p.m.
The winner will face Gull Lake in the semifinals Wednesday night. The host Trojans will play Kalamazoo Loy Norrix in the second game Monday night with the winner advancing to play Battle Creek Central Wednesday.
The district finals are set for Thursday night.
Both Bronson (49-8-2) and Union City drew opening round byes in the Division Three District tournament at Centreville. The Vikings will play White Pigeon on Wednesday night while Union City will get the winner of Monday’s match between Centreville and Constantine.
Bronson will be trying to win a fifth straight state championship.
Quincy will play Jonesville Monday night in the Division Three District Tournament at Hudson. The winner advances to Wednesday night’s semifinal to face Hudson.
Tekonsha will play Pansophia Academy on Monday night in the Division Four District Tournament at Colon with the winner playing Athens in the Wednesday night semifinals.
