UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Village Council Monday night honored Fire Chief David Hughes and Police Officer Travis Ferry for their quick response and skill in saving a man’s life recently.
Hughes and Ferry both responded to a cardiac arrest call.
When they arrived, they found a 73 year old man who was not breathing and had no pulse.
Hughes and Ferry performed CPR and utilized an automated external defibrillator on the man.
They were able to revive him to the point where he was trying to sit up before he was flown to an area hospital.
