BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson School Board gave their formal approval Monday night to the establishment of varsity soccer programs for boys and girls at Bronson High School.
The girls program will start in spring 2020, while the boys will begin competition next fall after playing this year on a club level.
A coach will be hired at a later date. The paid position has been posted by the school district. The posting says experience is preferred. Interested candidates are asked to send their applications and resume to Athletic Director Jean LaClair at Bronson High School.
A group of supporters raised money over the last year and used social media to bring awareness about their efforts.
T-shirts and hoodies with their slogan “Bring it to Bronson” have been sold for the past year. Other fund raising efforts have included movie nights and dinners.
