COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It looks like we will get our first taste of winter weather Thursday.
National Weather Service forecasters are calling for a widespread mix of rain and snow that will accompany a surge of much colder air.
Around an inch of snow is possible in southwest Lower Michigan and into northern Indiana near Lake Michigan through Thursday night with some additional lake effect contribution.
The cold air will be persistent and last well into next week.
Those planning to attend a high school football playoff game Friday night had better get out the long underwear and blankets.
Lows are expected to dip into the low 20s on Friday night.
