COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man is heading to prison after he was convicted of violating his probation in a home invasion case.
29-year-old Jordan Isaiah Woodward was ordered in Branch County Circuit Court Monday to serve between 18 months and 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to the probation violation. He was given credit for 160 days already served in jail.
Woodward originally entered a guilty plea to second degree home invasion for a crime in July 2015. Two other counts were dismissed by the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office in exchange for the guilty plea when he was sentenced in March 2016.
Woodward was originally given a 12 month jail sentence and placed on three years of probation. He was also ordered to pay over $20,000 in restitution.
