BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Transportation has told the City of Bronson that the mill and fill pavement work within the City limits as part of the U.S. 12 resurfacing project will not be completed until next spring due to the changing weather.
Temperatures are only expected to be in the 30’s during the daytime and in the 20’s at night over the next several days.
The milling and filling portion of the U.S. 12 resurfacing project started in late October. The work started at the Branch-St. Joseph County line. The repaving work will eventually finish at Wayne Street on the east side of Bronson.
The pavement work up to the City limits was expected to be finished Wednesday.
It is still planned that the concrete sidewalk ramps will be completed this fall. It was originally estimated the $2 million project would be done by next Friday November 15, 2019.
The work will include sidewalk ramp upgrades and new pavement markings.
