CHS cross country runners honored at Friday clinic

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WTVB) – Post-season honors were bestowed on two Coldwater cross country runners Friday evening at the annual Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association Cross-Country Coach’s annual Clinic held in Mount Pleasant. Elka Machan’s fourth place finish in last week’s Division Two State State Finals coupled with her outstanding academic record earned her the distinction of being named as Division Two’s Academic State Champion. Machan’s teammate, Carolyn Potter, also earned Academic All State honors for her fine effort in the State Finals along with her high academic standing.
