COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Old Man Winter continues to announce his presence with authority.
Following Monday’s storm which dumped between seven and nine inches of snow on the area, record low temperatures which had stood for nearly a century have been shattered over the last couple of days.
The new record low for November 12 in Coldwater is seven degrees above zero. That was the temperature recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport at 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday night. It broke the old record of 14 degrees set back in 1920.
Another record low was broken during the early morning hours of Wednesday. It was three degrees above zero at the airport at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning, which is 30 degrees below the normal low for November 13 in Coldwater.
The old record of nine above zero was set back in 1911. It was broken at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning
