COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The last public museum tour day for this season at the Wing House Museum in Coldwater will be this Saturday from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m..
A $5.00 donation is requested for those who want to take a step back in time at the museum, which is operated by the Branch County Historical Society.
The Wing House Museum will host its annual Christmas Wassail on December 7 from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m..
The house was built in 1875 by the Chandler family for their son Jay. The home was sold to the Wing family in 1882. They owned it for three generations before the home and furnishings were sold to the Branch County Historical Society in 1974.
Restoration work was performed on the 145 year old structure this fall by crews from Bruce Knisley Construction as they repaired the wood trim near the eaves.
The next goal is the repainting of the museum’s exterior.
