Bryan Paul
Katz, 75, of Sherwood, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the
Laurels of Coldwater.
A memorial
service with military honors for Bryan will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday,
November 22, 2019 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta with Pastor Frank
Snyder officiating. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in
Coldwater.
Bryan was
born on April 14, 1944 to Bernard and Betty (Schick) Katz in Marshall. He
graduated from Tekonsha High School. His first marriage to Susan Bingley ended
in divorce. Bryan then married Theresa (Terry) Lamperski on July 18, 1998 in
Gainesville, Florida.
He retired
in 2000 from All Star Trucking in Missouri as an over the road truck driver.
Bryan was also a teaching instructor at American Truck Driving School in
Coldwater for many years. Earlier on he worked at Eaton Corp. in Marshall and
Iowa.
Bryan loved
his Chihuahua dog Mit-Zie, doing yard work and collecting antique tractors.
He is
survived by his wife Terry; his children, Brandon (Pearl O’Connor) Katz of Florida,
Bryce (Tracy) Katz of Marshall, Anna (Danny) Fafoglia of St. Louis, Missouri
and step-son, Ted R. Smiley of Lynn, Massachusetts; his 3 grandchildren, Logan
Katz, Summer (David) Sunnock and Penelope Katz; his great granddaughter, Luna
Katz; his siblings, Beverly (Michael) O’Shea of Norfolk, Virginia, Barbara
(Bob) Carlson of Salem, S. Carolina, Brenda (James) Montroy of Bellevue,
Bernadette (Don) Davis of Sacramento, California, Bruce (Teresa) Katz of
Milford and Brent Chris Katz of Milford. Bryan was preceded in death by his
parents and his brother Barry Katz.
