Scott Matthew Bartell, 38, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Northview Christian Church in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream. A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Northview Christian, just prior to the service, also on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Scott was born December 7, 1980 in Sturgis, MI to Ellen Pope. On September 1, 2007, he married the former Melissa Frantom in Fremont, IN. She survives.
Scott worked as a self-employed handyman. He was an outdoorsman who liked hunting, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family, joking and making people laugh.
In addition to his wife, Melissa, Scott is survived by his girlfriend, Andrea Beth Johns of Coldwater; his mother, Ellen Bartell, of Angola, IN; his children, Scott Matthew Bartell, Jr. and Elliana Arlene Bartell; step-sons Zion Cook of Bluffton, OH, Theo “T.J.” and Micheal of Coldwater; his siblings, Robin Bartell of Portage and Ryan Bartell of Angola, IN; his step-siblings, Mark Morrow of Angola, IN, Ed Morrow of Florida and Lynn Morrow of Angola, IN; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Larry Morrow.
