COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal volleyball team held its annual banquet Friday night at Bill’s Grill House, and for the second straight year, Olivia Foley was selected by her teammates the Most Valuable Player. Foley shared the honor with Tyler Scheid in 2018.
Allison Miller was voted Most Improved Player, Veronica Gonzalez the Rookie of the Year, Maddy Wright the Best Team Player, and Victoria Gonzalez and Alyssa Bach tied for the Super Spirit Award.
Foley and Abby Herman were named to the Interstate 8 All-Conference First Team, while Laynee Paarlberg and Veronica Gonzalez were Honorable Mention. Foley, Herman, Paarlberg, both Gonzalez sisters, Bach, Miller, and Amber Sunderland received I-8 Academic All-Conference honors.
The Cardinals finished the 2019 season with a record of 20-19-5.–OTHER AWARDS
