UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Renovations at the new Union City Senior Center are scheduled to start December 7 and volunteers are needed to work on the former Putnam Funeral Home building.
Drop ceilings from two rooms and as well as two layers of carpenting and subflooring throughout the main floor need to be removed.
Anyone who can volunteer their time that day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. are being asked to bring their own tools. A lunch will be available for the workers.
In the future, volunteers with backgrounds in electricity, carpentry and plumbing will be needed.
