COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was ordered to serve between 14 months and five years in the Michigan Department of Corrections Monday after he was convicted of domestic violence for a third time.
35-year-old Alex Moor entered a guilty plea to the charge as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors. Two charges of assault less than murder were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.
Moor was given credit for 149 days already served in jail. Charges were filed after Moor beat up a female acquaintance last June.
Branch County Circuit Court Judge Bill O’Grady ordered Moor to have no contact with the victim whatsoever when he gets out of prison.
