COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The new vacuum street sweeper for the Coldwater Department of Municipal Services has arrived.
It was ordered from Schwarze Industries of Huntsville, Alabama last March at a price of about $254,000.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker said during Monday’s City Council meeting that it has already been put to work.
The sweeper is mounted on a 2019 International 4300 chassis. The sweeper was purchased with $200,000 from the City’s Refuse Fund and nearly $54,000 from the City’s General Fund.
Schwarze Industries had the lowest of three bids submitted to the city.
