BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community Schools Board of Education will begin interviewing six candidates who want to be the next Superintendent of the district Wednesday night.
The field of finalists was reduced Tuesday when district officials announced that Kevin Kelly had withdrawn his name from consideration for the position.
Wednesday’s interviews start at 5:00 p.m. and one hour has been allotted for each candidate.
The board is scheduled to interview Michael Fitzpatrick, Suzanne Cavaneugh, and Harmonee McCrea Wednesday. McCrea at one time served as the Principal at Bronson’s Anderson Elementary. She is now the principal at Wall Elementary in Sturgis.
The Thursday interviews are also scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.. Bronson native Jessica Bucklin, Constantine Superintendent Steve Wilson, and Katheleen Ramirez are scheduled to be interviewed.
A second round of interviews, and a possible selection by the School Board, has been scheduled for next Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Michigan Association of School Boards is assisting the district with the search.
Whoever is selected to succeed Rick Hilderly is scheduled to start as the new Bronson Superintendent January 2, 2020.
