COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Christmas holidays will be a busy season in Coldwater at Biz Aid Recycling, Branch County’s only location for styrofoam recycling.
Cardboard boxes are also expected to be popular items at the community recycling center as located at the end of Darling Drive on the south side of Coldwater.
Samantha Buterbaugh, the owner of Biz Aid, spoke at Tuesday’s meeting of the Coldwater Noon Rotary Club and said most people don’t realize the restrictions on recycling styrofoam, which she explained shouldn’t be put in your curbside recycling bins and can’t be taken to community recycling bins at the Coldwater Township Hall or to Quincy.
Biz Aid Recycling is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Styrofoam, broken down cardboard boxes, and batteries are taken at no charge. There is $2.00 cost for other items per visit for households, with a $45 annual cost. Annual business memberships are based on materials.
For further details on what items are accepted, information is available on line at bizaidllc.com or you can call (517)227-4901.
