STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Sturgis are searching for a vehicle thief who is considered armed and dangerous.
Around 5 a.m. Wednesday, a Sturgis resident in the 200 block of N. Prospect St. left his truck running in his driveway while he went inside momentarily.
While he was gone, a figure dressed in all black got inside the truck. He pointed a gun at the truck owner when he tried to stop him, leaving the scene in an unknown direction.
Police say the vehicle is described as a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, white in color, 4-door, pickup truck with a dent on the passenger side door. It has a Michigan registration plate of CKR2762.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Police say not to approach the suspect if located and to call the officers instead.
