COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An event that has become a holiday season tradition in Coldwater took place on Tuesday night as the ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital hosted their Celebration of Lights at the Community Care and Conference Center.
Participants gathered to honor and remember loved ones as lighting of a special tree was held. The tree is on display outside of the hospital’s main entrance during the holiday season.
The names of those honored or remembered was read at the ceremony, with the Coldwater High School Balladiers performing a selection of Christmas carols.
Proceeds from the project will go toward the Garden of Hope and the Memorial Garden which are located on the hospital campus.
The first Celebration of Lights took place in 2000. The funds raised that year were used in the renovation of the hospital Chapel.
