COLDWATER – (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was given a one year jail sentence and placed on probation for two years Monday in Branch County Circuit Court in a robbery case.
55-year-old James Donald Hanna entered a guilty plea to an amended count of unarmed robbery. Charges of armed robbery and felony firearms were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea.
Hanna was given credit for 210 days already served in jail.
He was arrested at his Peckham Street home May 13, 2019 following the robbery on South Jefferson Street.
A brief standoff with police took place before the arrest.
