COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While the Coldwater and Branch County area received just a dusting of snow overnight, heavier snowfall in the Steuben County, Indiana area caused a number of school delays because of slippery conditions.
According to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana office, the first round of accumulating snow tapered off early this morning.
The second round of snow is still on track for later this afternoon through mid morning Tuesday, mainly south of US 24 in the Ft. Wayne, Indiana area, where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00 p.m. this afternoon through 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Two to five inches of additional snow accumulation will be possible in the advisory area.
According to the National Weather Service, the rest of the week into the upcoming weekend will feature a quiet weather pattern.
