Butch R. Borgert, 80, of Bronson passed away Thursday,
December 12, 2019 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
In following his wishes, cremation has taken place and
a private burial will take place in the spring of 2020 at Burr Oak Cemetery.
Cremation services were provided by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Butch was born February 1, 1939 to Homer and Josephine
(Wagner) Borgert in Kalamazoo. He graduated from Bronson High School and then
took a year of college at Tri State University. On July 16, 1960 he married the
love of his life, Susan “Susie” Cluff at the Congregational Church in Bronson.
Butch
worked for 32 years at Quality Springs as a tool & die maker, retiring in
1998. He then started his own business, R & S Reels in 1999. Butch sold the
business in 2018.
Butch has attended the Congregational Church while
growing up. He was a member of the Bronson Kiwanis Club for over 30 years.
Butch was an avid fisherman, including repairing fishing reels. Bronson Reels were
his specialty. His true joy in life was spending time with family and friends.
Butch is survived by his wife and best friend of
almost 60 years, Susie Borgert of Bronson; his children Frederick Borgert of
Bronson and Kellie Shelton of Clarkston; his grandchildren Clinton (Brittany)
Stiller of Dunnellon, FL and Tyler Borgert of Summerfield, FL; and his great
grandchildrenCarson Isla, Maylin Stiller andJaneen
Stiller.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bronson or the Great Hospice Duck Race.
