David L. Hawkins, 72, of Quincy, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at his home.
He was born April 3, 1947 in Hillsdale, MI to Leo and Agnes (Cook) Hawkins.
He graduated from Litchfield High School and continued on to serve his country in the United States Army. David was a member of the Army National Guard Reserves and he loved his Oliver tractors. He also enjoyed farming, music, and his cats.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Hawkins of Albion; sisters, Helen (Roger) Bonney of Olivet, Edith (Dave) Glei of Hillsdale; brother, Gerald (Thelma) Hawkins of Edon, OH; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
David was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Hawkins, and beloved friend, Sally Hawkins.
Visitations for David L. Hawkins will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 5-7 PM and Friday, December 20, 2019 from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Branch County Humane Society.
