COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education formally accepted the resignation of Jean Milnes as a board member Monday night. Her resignation is effective December 31, 2019.
Milnes said in her letter to the board that her resignation was necessary due to the poor health of her husband and herself.
Milnes has served on the Coldwater School Board since 2008. Her current term expires in 2024.
Milnes also served on the Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education for 12 years.
Board President Dr. Ed Lake said he was sorry to see her go, adding that she was an excellent board member.
