Carole Lee Snodderly, 77, of Battle Creek, formerly of Athens, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family is being served at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation of Union City.
Carole was born on February 19, 1942 in Cheboygan, MI, to Alvin and Nela (Beach) Decker. Carole was married to James “Paul” Snodderly for 33 years, until his death in 2009. The couple resided in Athens. Carole was employed in food service at the former Battle Creek Health System. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing BUNCO, belonging to the “Classy Lassies” Athens Chapter of the Red Hat Society and being a part of The Copper Kettle Breakfast Club.
Carole is survived by her children, Robert (Cathy) Shepard of Texas, Michael (Angela) Shepard of Arkansas, Angela (J.) Marden of Florida and John (Stacee) Snodderly of Athens; siblings Russell (Pat) Decker of East Leroy and Dianna (Richard) Schroder of Battle Creek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Jeannie Vaughn of East Leroy.
In addition to her husband, Paul, Carole was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Terri Firehawk; a son, Garry Snodderly; a sister, Inez Tobalski; and a brother, William “Bill” Decker.
