Wallace H. Cox, 82, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday,
December 26, 2019 at his home.
The funeral will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at
12:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Pierce from the
First Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Mason Cemetery.
Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at
Dutcher Funeral Home.
Wallace was born December 2, 1937 in Coldwater, MI to Ivan
and Gertrude (Mason) Cox. He married
Beverly J. Chenoweth on September 22, 1961 in Quincy.
Mr. Cox served in the US Coast Guard Reserve from
1960-1968. He owned and operated Wally’s
Tractor in Coldwater for over 50 years and served on the Coldwater Township
Board and as Township Supervisor for many years.
Wally loved to keep busy in
his shop and had a passion for collecting and restoring antique tractors.
Wally is survived by his wife Beverly, his sons Matt (Val)
Cox of Union City, Doug (Tamara) Cox of Coldwater, his sisters Vera Renshaw of
Coldwater, Ruth (Albert) Russell of Coldwater, his grandchildren Megan Cox,
Ryan (Nicole) Cox, Brady (Kelly) Cox all of Coldwater, Jeremy (Kasey)
Jastremski of Clinton, NC, Stefanie (Camille) Loveberry of Milwaukee, WI,
Trenton Loveberry of Jackson and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother
Richard Cox.
