Clare K. Walker, 85, of Coldwater passed away Friday,
December 20, 2019 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 pm Thursday,
January 2, 2020 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jeff Bream of
Northview Christian Church officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at
11:00 am. Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery.
Clare was born August 13, 1934 to Lester and Nettie
(Warner) Walker in Matteson Township. He was an extremely hard working,
spending much of his early life helping on his parent’s farm. Clare
participated with ADAPT in many different programs and also stayed at the Paul Wing
Foster Care Home for many years. He was a man of faith, most recently attending
the Church of the Nazarene.
Clare enjoyed life. He liked doing puzzles, listening
to all types of music, going bowling, and visiting with friends. Clare truly
enjoyed being outdoors working at the farm, or doing yardwork at the Wing Home.
He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and watched many other sporting events.
Clare is survived by his siblings Candy (Tim) Miner
and Carl (Gail) Walker; and his cousin Melvetta (Bob) Swick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister
Norma Abel; and his brother Clark Walker, who died serving his county in Vietnam.
