COLDWATER, MI – (WTVB) – Coldwater will be one of four locations in the State of Michigan during the month of February where the state’s Marijuana Regulatory Agency will be facilitating stakeholder workgroups regarding the Social Equity Program.
The meeting in Coldwater will take place on Thursday, February 20th.
A time and location has not been announced yet. Other February meetings will take place in Detroit, Muskegon and Mount Pleasant.
Anyone interested in taking part in the workgroups must send an e-mail by next Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. to MRA-SocialEquity@Michigan.gov with WORKGROUP in the subject line.
You must provide the location of the workgroup you are interested in attending, your name, mailing address, email address and phone number.
Selections for the workgroups will be announced on January 20th.
Coldwater and Montgomery are among the 41 communities in the state that meet the criteria for the Social Equity Program.
The program is designed to encourage participation in the marijuana industry by people who live in the communities that have been disproportionately impacted by marijuana prohibition and enforcement.
