BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles scored the first ten points of the game and never looked back on Tuesday night as they defeated Branch County rival Bronson 64-32 in a Big 8 Conference boys high school basketball game.
The game was never in doubt for the Orioles as they built leads of 21-5 after the first quarter and 39-13 at the half.
Four Orioles finished in double figures. Kyler Economou had a double-double with game highs of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Will Dunn, Evan Coon and Kyle Rodesiler all had 11 points for Quincy. Dunn also grabbed six rebounds and blocked four shots.
Blaine Robinson led Bronson with nine points.
Quincy is now 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the Big 8 Conference. Bronson drops to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Big 8.
Bronson won the J.V. game over Quincy 57-42.
