KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A man who has warrants for his arrest out of St. Joseph County got away from police Tuesday in Branch County’s Kinderhook Township.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police and the Branch County Sheriff’s Department attempted to arrest Jeffery James Elliot at a residence.
Michigan State Police say Elliot resisted and obstructed law enforcement officers.
They add he damaged private property when he drove through a garage door and hit a vehicle while fleeing from police.
Elliot was said to be driving a maroon 2001 GMC pickup truck with a license plate of EAN1783.
