COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coach Eby Youth and Family Center is starting a new after school program for 9-12 grade students.
The program has been named “The Coach“ and is offered Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
“The Coach” is limited to 10 to 15 students and is intended to help high school students grow socially, academically, and personally. The two and a half hours include a snack, homework and study time, an optional 15 minutes of faith, along with group games and activities.
Coach Eby officials say all volunteers and staff have been vetted with background checks and instructed with appropriate protocols and procedures.
They say the programs is intended to help young people reach their highest potential as adults. . A reward program has been created as incentive for students to excel. Local businesses have donated gift cards and other items that can be earned while at “The Coach.”
Coldwater Community Schools is partnering with the program and will be offering bus transportation from Coldwater High School at 2:50 p.m. each day. All other transportation needs will need to be arranged on their own.
