QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, the Quincy Orioles won their fourth straight game as they pulled away in the second half to defeat Springport 64-40 Friday night in the Coolest Gym in Michigan.
The Orioles led 26-20 at halftime before breaking the game open with a 19-7 third quarter as they improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
Will Dunn led the Orioles with a game-high 25 points while Kyler Economou had his second straight double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Union City dropped their fourth straight game as they lost at Concord 57-34. The Chargers are now 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the Big 8.
Also in Big 8 Conference play Friday, Homer defeated Bronson 64-33.
