QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, state-ranked Springport jumped out to a 15-3 first quarter lead and never looked back as they defeated Quincy 49-29 Friday night. Katie Rathbun led Quincy with 11 points while Alana Nelson scored a game-high 22 points for Springport.
Quincy is now 5-2 overall and 1-2 in the Big 8 Conference.
Bronson bounced back from their lopsided loss to Prairie Heights with a 55-26 Big 8 Conference win at Homer. The Vikings are now 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the Big 8.
A tough night for Union City as they were beaten by Concord 65-23. Megan Russell led the Chargers with six points. Union City is now 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the Big 8.
