PARMA, MI (WTVB) – Union City finished eighth while Quincy tied for 14th Saturday at the 19-team Jim Dewland Wrestling Classic hosted by Parma Western.
The Chargers had four medalists including Brayton Mears who captured the championship at 119 pounds and improved to 20-0 for the season.
Bradley Russell (18-4) was third at 125 pounds, Garrett Iobe (18-3) was sixth at 140 pounds and Everett Korn (17-5) was third at 145 pounds.
Quincy had two medalists. Gerl Pish (9-4) was second at 152 pounds as he lost a 1-0 decision in the finals. Chandler Locke (16-3) was fourth at 171 pounds.
