BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Varsity Girls Bowling team won their portion of the Battle of the Baker Tournament Sunday at the M-66 Bowl in Pennfield while the Coldwater boys were fifth.
The Lady Cardinals led from start to finish. Rolling a score of 1,906 in a 12 game block to be seeded first, Coldwater then defeated Sturgis and Hartford to advance to the finals where they knocked off second seeded Macomb Dakota.
The boys team managed to qualify fourth out of 12 teams with a score of 1,835. The boys were knocked out in the first round by Marshall. Meanwhile, the Quincy boys were second while the girls finished fourth at the Cascade Clash Baker Tournament at Jax 60.
