COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The founder of the newly formed Branch County Gay Pride group told the Coldwater City Council Monday night they are tentatively planning a downtown rally June 28, 2020.
Group President Chris Boger says after the small rally, they plan to go to a park for a picnic at around 4:00 p.m..
Boger said she gets hate mail everyday and security is an issue for their group. She asked that police be nearby for at least the first year or two of their rally.
Boger says they have 133 members after their first month and their Facebook page has gotten 255 likes since it opened last Friday.
Branch County Gay Pride selected their Board of Directors on Monday.
