COLDWATER – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Polar Bear Middle School Team swam their first ever home meet on Wednesday night at the Browne Aquatic Center.
It was a double dual meet against Harper Creek and Sturgis. The Polar Bear Girls lost to Harper Creek 129-35 and defeated Sturgis 94-48. The Polar Bear Boys also lost to Harper Creek 92-60 but defeated Sturgis 84-8.
The Polar Bears picked up four more state cuts as well. Lucas Wischmeyer swam his way to state in the 100 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle. Drake Thornton earned his third individual state cut in the 100 Backstroke. In addition, the relay team of Wischmeyer, Thornton, Cooper Otto and Liam Clark made a state time in the 400 Freestyle Relay. Coldwater has their next dual meet next Monday at Loy Norrix.
