COLDWATER – (WTVB) – The Humane Society of Branch County will be raising awareness this weekend about animals being left outside during the cold winter months.
They will be hosting a fundraiser entitled “Freezin for a Reason” at the First Presbyterian Church on Marshall Street in Coldwater.
Nearly two dozen dog houses will be brought in as members of the Humane Society and volunteers will be sleeping for 12 hours outside on Saturday night.
Cheryl Hawver from the Humane Society says the dog houses will be sponsored.
The Humane Society will be accepting donations of money as well as dog and cat food, cat litter and heated water balls.
The hours will be from 6:00 p.m. Saturday night until 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
