QUINCY, MI – (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council is scheduled to take action on a resolution Tuesday night that allows the village to seek a Michigan Department of Transportation grant that would help fund improvements to Church Street.
The money would come from Transportation Economic Development Fund grants.
The resolution states Speedrack Products Group is served by Church Street and will be investing about $12 million to $15 million in buildings and equipment while creating between 60 and 75 new jobs.
The village is hoping to repair and widen Church Street and make improvements to various adjacent intersections and roads to improve vehicle and truck traffic and safety.
The M.D.O.T. grant requires a minimum twenty five percent financial match which is estimated to be over $108,000.
The total cost of the project is estimated at over $434,600.
