UNDATED (WTVB) – The winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service continues until 12 noon today. Instead of snow, though, mixed precipitation is now in play.
According to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana office in North Webster, “A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will change to all rain by late Saturday morning. Additional snow and sleet accumulations of up to 1 inch, and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch…” can be expected, on top of the snow that fell overnight.
Even though main roads have been plowed, the potential of ice accumulation means that motorists should continue to exercise caution while traveling, especially during the morning hours.
