CONCORD, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings got a pair of Big 8 Conference wrestling victories Wednesday night as they defeated Quincy 58-24 and Reading 43-33.
Double winners for Bronson were Ben Modert (119), Preston Wronikowski (125), Ben Thomas Grate (140), Archie Smith (145), Craig Tappenden (160) and Justin Blankenship with a pair of pins at 189.
Quincy winners against Bronson were Drew DeCaire (103), Braiden Mosher (135), Gerl Pish (152) and Chandler Locke (171). Mosher, Pish and Locke got their victories on pins.
The Orioles wound up with a split of their BIg 8 Conference matches for the night as they defeated Concord 54-17. Quincy will host the annual Shawn Cockrell wrestling tournament Saturday.
The Vikings will host Coldwater in an assembly dual match at 2:00 p.m. Friday.
