BATTLE CREEK, MI. – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Polar Bear Middle School team swam at their first league championship this past Saturday as the boys team finished thirrd and the Girls team was sixth. Overall, the Polar Bears finished in fifth place.
The relay team of Cooper Otto, Liam Clark, Lucas Wischmeyer, and Drake Thornton won the 200 Medley Relay. Five Coldwater Boys will be moving on to the Middle School state meet next Saturday.
Lucas Wischmeyer has qualified in the 100 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. Drake Thornton has qualified in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke. Liam Clark, Cooper Otto, and Taylor Eberts will join Lucas and Drake in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.
