COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, the Coldwater Cardinals were no match for the Three Rivers Wildcats Tuesday night as Coldwater romped to a 71-33 victory at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
The Cardinals almost scored at will in the first half as they built up leads of 25-15 after the first quarter and 48-22 at halftime.
Coldwater got the lead up to over 40 points late in the third quarter which meant a running clock was used for the rest of the game.
Three Cardinals finished in double figures led by Spencer Rodesiler with 18 points and four asissts.
Austin Santure added 15 points and eight rebounds while Ethan Crabtree had 14 points and six assists.
Jaxon Janusz had seven points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
The Cardinals improved their record to 8-5.
The Quincy Orioles got back on the right track Tuesday night as they defeated the Bronson Vikings 65-51 in a Big 8 Conference game on the Orioles home court.
Quincy shot 52 percent from the floor as the bounced from Friday’s loss to arch rival Reading.
The Orioles led 34-24 at the half and outscored the Vikings 31-27 after intermission.
Quincy also had a 32-17 edge in rebounds.
Will Dunn led Quincy with 24 points, three assists and eight rebounds while Kyler Economou added 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Reagan Mayer led the Vikings with 15 points while Aden Hathaway added 10 points.
Quincy is now 7-2 in the BIg 8 and 10-3 overall. Bronson drops to 1-8 in the conference and 4-11 overall.
Union City lost at Jonesville 45-32. The Chargers are now 0-8 in the Big Eight and 2-10 overall.
