COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, the Coldwater Cardinals rallied from a 14 point deficit in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night as they defeated the Three Rivers Wildcats 62-58 in overtime at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Coldwater trailed 51-37 with 5:45 left before they started their come back.
Mallory Wilber’s bucket with eight seconds of regulation tied the game at 54-54 and sent the contest into overtime.
Coldwater never trailed in the extra session as they improved their record to 7-7.
Carlee Crabtree scored a game-high 25 points for Coldwater to go along with eight rebounds.
Brooke Moore had 10 points and seven rebounds while Allison Miller had eigh rebounds. Wilber finished with seven points, six rebounds and three assists.
Kali Heivilin led the Wildcats with 22 points before she fouled out. Three Rivers’ record dropped to 11-3.
The Quincy Orioles lost to the top-ranked team in Division 4 on Tuesday night as they were beaten by Adrian Lenawee Christian 62-34. Lenawee Christian is a two time state champion. Leaders for Quincy were Katie Rathbun with 14 points and seven rebounds while Maddie Hinds had eight points and nine rebounds.
The Bronson Vikings used the home court advantage to defeat Otsego 66-55 in a non conference game on Tuesday night. Keona Salesman had a big night on the stat sheet with 21 points and 22 rebounds. The Vikings have won four of their last five games and they improved to 8-5.
