COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School Gymnastics team will be hosting their tenth annual “Stick It for a Cure” benefit meet on Saturday to raise awareness and funding for cancer patients and survivors in Branch County.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the ProMedica Coldwater Cancer Center.
In the last decade, the team has raised more than $79,000 to benefit local patients.
Coldwater gymnastics Kim Nichols says they start working on the event last October. Team members have secured sponsorships and auction items.
Saturday’s competition will offer a wide variety of opportunities to give a donation. There are over 130 baskets to bid on in the silent auction which runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
The team is raffling off a gift certificate to a La Z Boy chair which has a value of $600. There will be sno cones and T-shirt sales on hand and a Saran Ball game for the kids.
The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m..
