COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Police Department reported to the Coldwater City Council on Monday night that criminal complaints went down 12 percent during the fourth quarter of 2019 when compared to the same period of 2018.
Non criminal complaints went up by 27 percent for the final quarter of 2019 while traffic accidents went down nine percent.
Total complaints showed a decrease of two percent.
There was also a 12 percent decrease in traffic citations issued by officers and a 27 percent decrease in parking enforcement.
Statistics showed there were 10 burglaries in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to 20 during the same period of 2018. But assault and battery complaints went up from 11 in the last quarter of 2018 to 35 in 2019. .
