COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A plan and policies committee has been put together with different individuals from throughout the Branch County Courthouse to review current county policies and to make recommendations if needed.
County Administrator Bud Norman told the Board of Commissioners during their work session last Thursday the committee has met off and on for the last year to review 28 different policies.
He said there would be no changes in half of them while nine of the policies will have minor or major changes and five new policies will be created.
Norman said once the policies are implemented, there will be orientation training for up to two days which will mandatory for new employees while current employees will have to be trained within three years.
The matter was presented to Commissioners as an information item. No formal action is scheduled for Tuesday’s regular meeting.
