COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of the Republican candidates for the 58th District State House seat that Eric Leutheuser has to give up at the end of the year appeared in front of Branch County Commissioners Tuesday.
Hillsdale attorney Andrew Fink said he was running for state representative because he was concerned about the future for his five children.
Fink said he wanted his children to inherit a free enterprise system rather than a socialist system “which is now openly being discussed by folks on the other side of the aisle.”
He said he was a conservative in other ways, such as being a pro-life, and he was very concerned about over regulating the business environment, especially in Michigan. Fink felt Michigan has not been “a particulary business friendly place.”
Daren Wiseley of Osseo and Hillsdale Mayor Adam Stockford are the other Republican candidates in the August 2020 primary.
Steven Soward is the lone Democratic candidate.
