COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Police Department is investigating an early Thursday morning accident involving a car and a Branch County Road Commission truck at the intersection of Butters Avenue and Garfield Road on the city’s southwest side.
The crash was reported at about 6:00 a.m. and forced the intersection to be shut down until mid morning.
Two ambulances were also dispatched to the scene. Coldwater Police confirm one person was injured.
The Road Commission’s Jay Miller says the driver of their truck was not injured but was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital to be checked out.
Miller also reports the truck was not seriously damaged.
Michigan State Police assisted with traffic control.
